Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center

For the first time in the U.S., a Fitness Center introduced Tchoukball in its summer program. About 1'500 children from 6 to 14 have been exposed to the game during the 2004 summer.

Olga O’Brien, sport program specialist at the Freedom Center in Manassas, discovered the game of Tchoukball in November 2003, during a presentation which was held at Mason University. She immediately loved the concept of the game and she wanted to expose children and adults to the game.

Following her idea, in June 2004, she organized a Tchoukball training event for the twenty four counselors, who officiated during the summer program. She invited Pierre-Alain Girardin to lead the training and give advices how you teach Tchoukball to children.
